The North End at Jamestown
Four iconic townhomes, The North End at Jamestown, complete Oklahoma’s first condominium neighborhood. Developed by George W. James, R.W. Finley and Jack Graves, Jamestown Condominiums broke ground in 1965 with a concept based on classic Georgetown architecture incorporating red brick streets, gas lights and historic materials.
Located on the site of the Floyd Tinsley Dairy, the 44 townhomes are clustered around Tinsley Green with a central pergola featuring outdoor fireplaces and television for outdoor entertaining. The original three design named for landmarks in Georgetown, Foxall, Dumbarton and Decatur, mostly two bedroom plans ranging in size from 1,584 to 2,480 SF, are joined by the final design: Tudor Place, a unique 1,852 SF, two bedroom plan.
The concept emphasizes diversity with integrity featuring brick facades with wood siding, gated private courtyards, balconies, multi-pane windows with shutters and varied rooflines. Courtyards separate the townhouses, allowing entrance to a central stair hall, a twist on this classic Federal style design.
